Intelligent Heritage completed a comprehensive IT Review for the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford.
The Ashmolean Museum was undertaking a £49 million development (HLF funded) and was in urgent need of strategic advice on the management and synthesis of a range of information systems projects critical to the development of the expended museum.
The IT Review was intended as a exercise to establish current issues and make detailed recommendations on how to structure and govern a range of related information systems and content development projects.
We also examined IT staffing and support issues and made recommendations on core competencies and a sustainable structure.
In 2007 we were asked to review and make recommendations for image management (systems, workflow and staffing) to support a range of online and gallery projects.
Adrian Cooper also helped the museum to plan the structure and recruit staff for the externally funded Jameel Centre project (Online Centre for the Study of Eastern Art).
